The Sleep of Reason is a new performance installation by Ryan Wilson Kelly, developed specifically for Napoleon Gallery. Inspired by the life and death of noted Philadelphian paleontologist Edward Drinker Cope, the work explores themes of solitude, intellectual endeavor, and the tension between achievement and failure inherent in the creative process.
