About PhilaCulturati
Phil-a cul-tu-ra-ti (fill- uh kul-cha-rä-te’)
People interested in Philadelphia culture and cultural activities.
PhilaCulturati reviews arts and cultural events pairing them with nearby dining establishments and other activities in the neighborhood that are accessible and affordable… for a cultured night out!
WHO ARE THE PHILACULTURATI: The PhilaCulturati are people interested in culture and cultural activities happening in Philadelphia and specific to Philadelphia. Philadelphia culture is comprised of more than just cheesesteaks. This site is an avenue to explore whats good to eat, good to do, good to see, etc. in and around Philadelphia. To submit content, please become a contributor to the Things TO Do Blog or email Rachel@Philaculturati.com.
HOW IT WORKS: PhilaCulturati will post featured reviews on the homepage (philaculturati.com) and on the Things To Do blog (www.philaculturati.com/thingstodo). When a review is no longer “featured” on the homepage it is still searchable on the blog via tags indicating location, media and price, through the search bar or by browsing older posts. You can look at an old post for a museum or theatre and things to do nearby (there may be a different play or special exhibition showing, but the general outline of ‘what to do’ should still apply…there are also posts tagged “ongoing”).
PhilaCulturati is also a Group on Facebook.com and you can follow PhilaCulturati on Twitter.
WHAT DO WE REVIEW: PhilaCulturati writes reviews that fit under the “arts and culture” umbrella, including art openings, gallery exhibitions, museums, sculpture, dance, theatre, video installations, performance art, lectures, AND anything under the “foodie” umbrella such as cafes, restaurants, tastings, etc. Think of it as a marriage of uwishunu.com and Zagats, combined with Google Maps. What to do, see, and eat when you’re in the neighborhood.
