NEWS: Big Blue Marble Bookstore Nominated for the Pannell Award

without comments

The Big Blue Marble Bookstore has been nominated for the Pannell Award by the WNBA (Women’s National Book Association)!

Established in 1981 to honor Lucile Micheels Pannell, a model book woman and children’s bookseller, the Pannell Award recognizes retail bookstores that excel at inspiring the interest of young people in books and reading.

We are one of thirteen bookstores across the country that have been nominated this year, and we will be submitting materials to their panel of jurors who will select the winning store.

As part of our submission, we need to include testimonials from you, our community, about our work for and with kids. Please send comments by email by Wednesday, March 17! Please send testimonials to jen (at) bigbluemarblebooks (dot) com.

Many thanks!

Jen and Maleka, for the Big Blue Marble
